Dai Li Headquarters: A city built by the Dai Li to be their headquarters. Its a fortress and is where the Dai Li train new recruits and operate from. It is also where the Dai Li keep their prisoners.

Eastern Bridge: The bridge crosses the water between Air Island and Dai Li Island. There is an outpost on the Dai Li Island side to prevent new arrivals from leaving until after they are ready. It is the main way to travel between the two islands and is wide enough for carts and wagons. On the Air Island side, the bridge is close to the Northern Air Temple and the village that was build around its ruins.

School of New Beginnings:
After a great storm ravaged the islands, the survivors decided to create a school near Sing Village to ensure that their individual cultures and bending styles were not lost. The dorms are set up by bending element, with the idea to make it less likely for them to be destroyed by young benders on accident. Firebenders in stone rooms, open concept rooms for Airbenders, Earthbenders in wood structured rooms, and no pipes under the Waterbender’s rooms. But after awhile, the school was left empty as the population spread to the four larger islands. Now the school is used as lodgings for newcomers.

Sing Village: The oldest village amoung the five islands. The original survivors of the storm built it from the ground up on Dai Li Island. Most newcomers end up in Sing Village once they are released from the hospital on the northern side of the island.

Western Bridge: The bridge crosses the water between Earth Island and Dai Li Island. There is an outpost on the Dai Li Island side to prevent new arrivals from leaving until they are ready. It is the main way to travel between the two islands and is wide enough for carts and wagons. On the Earth Island side the bridge is close to the town of Rocky Point. And on the Dai Li Island side it is a short distance from Sing Village.

Air Island

Eastern Hospital: Located in Lotus Village, the hospital treats anyone who may need medical attention.

Gelou Islands: A pair of mostly deserted islands that host some of the rarer plants and animals.

Kongqi: The largest city on Air Island, Kongqi is the home to many spiritual centers and an animal sanctuary run by airbenders. There are also several successful delivery businesses based in Kongqi that serve all five islands. It is very diverse, and the locals are generally welcoming.

Kongqi Mountain: The tallest and southernmost mountain of the island.

Kongqi River: The longest river on Air Island. It starts from two points on Kongqi Mountain and runs into the ocean north of its starting point. There are several ferries along the river to cross it.

Lianhua Island: Is home to a variety of animals and plant life. Its looked after by residents of Lotus Village, but no one is allowed to live on the island.

Lotus Village: On the eastern coast of Air Island, the village is a lush tropical retreat. Surrounded by tropical forest and ancient statues, its believed that there may have been another temple near the current village. A number of hot springs, and beaches also make the area popular for vacationers. It houses the Eastern Hospital and is a short boat ride away from Lianhua Island, home to a variety of animals and plant life.

Northern Air Temple:
The Northern Air Temple sits on a hill and only consists of a few ruined buildings and statues. A village was built on its footprint and the villagers have made an effort to protect what is left of the dilapidated temple. The temple and village are fairly close to the Eastern Bridge and thus receive a great deal of trade and traffic from newcomers to the islands. They welcome visitors, but make sure to inform them of the temple’s history and to respect what is left of it.

Southern Air Temple: Located high in the mountains, the Southern Air Temple is a group of ruins once used by airbenders as a place of study and residence. Now it is abandoned except for the occasional visitor. What is left of the temple is intricately carved out of the side of the mountain. Murals and carvings cover the walls and ceilings of large open chambers which are now home to various animals.

Yun Mountain: A high rocky peak that is home to various animals and plant life. It helps shelter the rest of the island from harsh weather coming from the southwest coast of the island.

Yun Village: Settled at the base of Yun Mountain, Yun Village is a small village that survives mainly on its own agriculture and livestock. The area is rocky and somewhat harsh, but the villagers enjoy their simple, somewhat isolated life. Storms and harsh weather conditions are more frequent here do to its proximity to Yun Mountain which acts as a weather buffer for the rest of the island.

Earth Island

Dung-Guen Dol: Settled right in the Green River basin, Dung-Guen Dol thrives on wet crops. The village sits on the top of a large mound to keep it from flooding during the rainy season.

Earth Temple: The ruins of the Earth Temple mostly consist of an overgrown foundation along with a few subterranean chambers. There are rumours of hidden chambers that contain carvings and models showing earth bending techniques, but no one has ever seen them. The construction is simple, but sturdy. It can easily be mistaken for a small hill or natural rise in the landscape.

Green Lake Village: Primarily a fishing community, the fishermen of the village travel around Green Mountain Lake and up and down the Green River. They will sometimes ferry people from Green Lake Village to Dung-Guen Dol and vice-versa, but rarely to the other islands.

Green Mountain: The tallest mountain on Earth Island, it, and the area around it, is rich with minerals and precious metals. There are several mining operations located around the mountain.

Green Mountain Lake: Full of a variety of fish, the lake is a the base of several mountains. Some of the surrounding area is swampy, but most of the land around the lake is covered in thick forests that can be hard to navigate. The area is renowned for its beauty however, so the more adventurous have been known to trek around the island and up into the mountains on holiday.

Green River:
Crossing almost the entire island, it is a majour trade and fishing route.

Jag-Eun Du Mountain: The smaller of two twin peaks, Jag-Eun Du is a popular place for vacationing on Earth Island.

Keun Du Mountain: The larger of two twin peaks, Keun Du is a popular place for vacationing on Earth Island. Its proximity to Green Mountain Lake makes it an ideal place to travel to for great views of the island's natural beauty.

Nogsaeg San: A mining town settled at the base of Green Mountain. Most of their commerce comes from selling the various minerals and precious metals mined there to traders from other islands.

Plains: Covering the northern half of the island is lush plains land which is used for farming.

Rock Isle: A common retreat for Earth Benders still in training. Its isolation and lack of villages and permanent residents makes it perfect for new earth benders to throw around rocks without damaging property or fields.

Rocky Point: A fairly small town, Rocky Point was built to take advantage of the traffic from the Western Bridge. Crops grown nearby are sold as supplies for travelers.

San Village: Like Nogsaeg San, San Village is a mining town but on a much smaller scale. Most of the materials mined by the villagers are taken by them to Nogsaeg to be sold or traded.

Temple City:
Located very close to the Earth Temple, Temple City is one of the largest cities amoung the five islands. It is surrounded by high stone walls and profits from the rich farm land that surrounds it.

Fire Island

Fire Point Island: Home to the most active volcano on any of the islands, it is constantly covered by molten lava. The slow build up of lava turned rock has been slowly closing the gap between the small island and the nearby point.

Fire Point Village: One of the three villages north of the Fire Spine Mountains, Fire Point Village is fairly small. It is self sustaining, but does a fair business ferrying travelers to the southern half of the island, or to one of the other islands.

Fire Spine Mountains:
Cutting the island almost in half, the mountain range is very difficult to cross, except along the Moyasu River basin. The range includes several active volcanoes and hot springs can be found in various places. In the winter the taller peaks receive snow, making them even harder to cross. It can sometimes be faster, and safer, to take a boat from Honou Harbour to Fire Point Village, rather than making the treacherous journey.

Fire Spine River: A branch of the larger Moyasu River.

Fire Temple: Sequestered in a small valley in the Fire Spine Mountains, the remote location makes it hard to reach. What is left of the temple and the city that housed it is grand and made of volcanic stone, sleek marble and has statues of various precious metals. The buildings resemble others found all over the islands, but are constructed ornately out of reflective stone. Many areas of the temple have been over grown or damaged, but it is mostly intact.

Honou Harbour: The main harbour for Fire Island, it houses every kind of ship and boat from small fishing boats, to larger sailing vessels made to ferry trade items and paying customers to the other islands. The docks are almost always busy, day and night.

Honou Village: One of the larger villages on Fire Island, it receives most of its income from trade and travelers. This also means that pick pocketing and other petty theft can be quite common as the local thieves target newcomers.

Kasai Village: Located north of the Fire Spine Mountains, Kasai Village is a small farming community. They grow several varieties of tea, and export dyes made from the different plants and minerals in the area.

Mount Moyasu: Iron rich, it is the largest mountain in the Fire Spine Mountain range. It can be seen from almost anywhere on the island and is the source of the Moyasu River.

Moyasu River: Used as a guide for travelers through the mountains, the large river is also used to ferry trade items between the northern and southern halves of the island.

Moyasu Village: Home to some of the best metal workers around the islands, Moyasu is famous for its exported metal goods.

Sabotenjuusu Desert: Located on the southern side of the Fire Spine Mountains, it is a large desert made of sand dunes that reaches to the ocean. During the summer months the midday heat can easily weaken unprepared travelers and can be hard to navigate due to mirages. There is little to no water, let alone food, in the desert, so it is not advised to walk across it without the proper supplies.

Sanchou: The largest city on Fire Island, it serves as the main trade point on the west side of the island. It has the advantage of being at the base of the Fire Spine Mountains with access to both the north and south side of the island. As well as being on the coast very close to Dai Li Island.

Tani Village: Located in an oasis, Tani Village serves as a mid point for travelers going through the desert. Little more than a way-point, it has a tavern and inn, stables, and a well. Most travelers stop through on their way to and from Sanchou, the Fire Temple, the Moyasu River basin (the path that leads through the Fire Spine Mountains), and Honou Village.

Water Island

Glass Harbour: One of Water Island's two harbours, Glass Harbour is only open during the late spring through early fall. During the winter, boats are put in dry dock to prevent damage from the ice that fills the harbour.

Glass River: The northern most river system, it stays very cold throughout the year and thus is perfect for fish that migrate between fresh and salt water.

Glass Village: Used to harsh winters, Glass Village is made up mostly of tradesmen and fishermen. In the winter they hold various festivals near the Water Temple and help maintain it.

Ice Mountains: Covered in snow most of the year, not many people have much desire to traverse them.

Lake Nanashi: A popular resort and retreat, Lake Nanashi is warm enough to swim in during the summer. However during the winter months it freezes over and becomes a great place to ice fish and skate.

Moon Harbour: The main harbour for the island, it stays open year round. It fields merchant ships, fishing vessels and ferries that travel between the islands.

Moon Harbour Village: Mainly a trading village, it is also known for its fish market which carries the widest variety of fish.

Nanashi River: Generally warmer than the Glass River to the north, it feeds into Lake Nanashi and then ends at the coast. It is the fastest route between Moon Harbour and Nanashi Village during the summer months.

Nanashi Village: A quiet resort town, it makes most of its money from tourists year round. They export a few specialized teas and other novelty items to other areas though.

Water Temple: The Water Temple set into a vast cave system with statues and structural elements carved out of crystal. During the winter, benders from Glass Village maintain the entrance, keeping it clear of snow drifts and ice, to the caves so anyone can visit it.

Western Hospital: The Western Hospital is where most water benders train to become healers. The healers there welcome any injured person and they strive to do everything they can for them.

Xifang: The largest town on Water Island. It houses the Western Hospital as well as one of the largest collections of healing plants and herbs.

Xifang Island: Home to various types of wildlife, people are encouraged to avoid the island so as not to disturb the animals that live there.

Xueshan: A small hunting village set at the base of the Ice Mountains. Most of the villagers keep to themselves and do not take well to tourists.
